LEMOC Member Spotlight - joan and walt griesbach

With the passing of my first wife, I need a girlfriend. It had to be an “Eleanor” like Mustang as made famous in the movie “Gone In 60 Seconds”.

I purchased a 2005 Firemist GT Coupe in June, 2006. In that it had a Roush front with a six piece “Eleanor” styling kit, I decided to make a Roush Stage I clone. To do so I have added factory modifications by Roush, under-drive pulleys, shifter with retro handle, and all badges, emblems, moldings, and ID decals. Over the last four years I have also added Ford 409 race headers, 4.10 gears, magnaflow “X” pipe with exhaust system, Nitto race tires with chrome Cobra rims, engine detailing, sequential tail lights, show lighting and my own “GO BABY GO” push button start.

I truly enjoy driving and showing my Firemist Red Mustang and still get a big kick when people turn their heads to get a second look at it. The car has won at four national Mustang shows. Most recently, The Award of Excellence at the Western New York all Ford show competing in the National Show Winners Class.

I remarried in July, 2009 to Joan Kridler who strongly supports my “Mustang Disease” on the street and at car shows. I thank her, and my detailer (Jamie Logue), for keeping my “Eleanor” show worthy and race competitive. Joan and I are pleased to be a part of LEMOC and this great Mustang hobby.
